Thank you to everyone who attended the Alberta Society of Radiologists’ 2025 Breast Imaging Review on March 15, 2025.

The Scientific Planning Committee organized a highly engaging program aimed at enhancing participants' expertise in delivering exceptional breast imaging services. The event showcased Alberta's commitment to excellence through a series of informative lectures, in-depth case reviews, and an interactive positioning workshop, offering more than 100 radiologists and technologists, valuable opportunities to refine their skills and knowledge in the field of breast imaging.

The ASR Scientific Planning Committee has carefully curated a program with 14 local, national and international speakers sharing their expertise ranging from the theory behind AI, diagnostic and workflow applications, ethical and privacy considerations, and regulatory frameworks.

Conference Learning Objectives:

After attending and actively participating in the ASR 2024 Annual Scientific Conference, participants will be better able to:

  • Understand the main types of AI tools available or being developed for use in radiology, including for workflow enhancement, human resources administration, and image analysis.

  • Assess ethical and regulatory considerations associated with AI including those related to data privacy, data ownership and liability.

  • Gain ability to critically assess the suitability of an AI product pitched by a vendor for application to a particular clinical environment.

  • Understand the process required to integrate an AI product into clinic workflow in radiology.
